Our Huge production team was charged with building out sample pages of the redesigned About module of Google.com. Specifically, the goal of our project was to codify all of the design specifications of the new designs and capture them in a style guide for both Google's front end designers and web engineers to use.
This style guide documents the colors, icons, typography, graphical elements and general visual design direction of Google About, Products, and Company pages. The guide is meant to aid designers and developers in creating the site’s elements and modules as well as maintaining consistency throughout the site.
I composed layouts for each page of the style guide based on a set of templated pages handed down from our ACD. I then inserted style specification info from the marked up sample pages onto each style guide page as appropriate.
